Research integrity is a cornerstone of trustworthy research. But what exactly does it encompass, and do we share a common understanding of its scope, concepts, and boundaries?

ALLEA and the European Network of Research Integrity Offices (ENRIO) invite you to join a timely discussion on how a clearer conceptual framework for research integrity could strengthen policies and practices across Europe. The webinar, “Delineating Research Integrity: Towards a Common Understanding of Scope and Definitions,” is promoted by the Horizon Europe SIMPLIFY project.

The event comes at an important moment. ALLEA is currently revising the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity, the key European reference for responsible research practices. At the same time, ENRIO is launching its new handbook, “Key Research Integrity Concepts: Interpretations and Recommendations,” which examines how key research integrity concepts are understood across the ENRIO network and puts forward recommendations for shared definitions.

Together with key stakeholders, participants will explore:

  • What is the scope of research integrity?
  • How should principles, concepts, and practices relate to one another?
  • Why does a common understanding matter for research integrity policies and practice?
  • How can different stakeholders apply a shared conceptual framework?

The webinar is organised jointly by ENRIO and ALLEA and promoted by the Horizon Europe SIMPLIFY project. It is open to anyone interested in research integrity and responsible research practices.
