ALLEA-EFDS Online Forum: From Solidarity to Partnership

Date: Tuesday 3 November 2026
Time: 10:00–11:30 CET
Format: Online

The Forum forms part of ALLEA’s ongoing activities within the EFDS Alumni Network, launched in May 2026 as part of the European Fund for Displaced Scientists (EFDS). It is also open to a wider audience of Ukrainian researchers and research institutions.

What to expect

• Colleagues from the Berlin-based organisation ScienceAtRisk will present training opportunities for Ukrainian researchers and their monitoring of the situation of academia in Ukraine.
• Former EFDS grantees and beneficiaries will illustrate how international solidarity can develop into real support, sustainable partnerships and collaboration.
• An open exchange will invite participants to share experiences, discuss current needs and explore future cooperation, including examples from ALLEA Member Academies.
