UK RIO Annual Conference 2022
The UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO) is an independent charity, offering support to the public, researchers and organisations to further good practice in academic, scientific and medical research. They promote integrity and high ethical standards in research, as well as robust and fair methods to address poor practice and misconduct.
UK RIO has been holding annual research integrity conferences since 2013 and they are the premier UK research integrity events. The theme of their 2022 Annual Conference is ‘Good research practice: culture, environment and sustainability.’ Building on their successesful bi-monthly research integrity webinars and last year’s conference (2021), this event will be entirely online and is free to attend.
Speakers from across the research community will come together to discuss key topics in research integrity, such as, how do we make sure research is high quality and of high ethical standards during these challenging times? How can we ensure rigour and reproducibility, adapt to new ways of working, reduce waste in research, and respond to the wider issues facing society?
ALLEA will be represented by Professor Astrid Eichhorn, Chair of the ALLEA Working Group Climate Sustainability in the Academic System. She will be presenting the work of the Working Group as well as the key findings from the report on climate sustainability in academia published in May 2022.
